coasters

I'm inbetween sets of the Federer/Nadal match, so I'll be snappy.
Some of you were wondering about the coasters.
Here you go....

Talk about cheap craft!
Each tile was 65c.
The mod-podge is expensive, but the craft mothership Pinterest, has a recipe here to make your own mod-podge. {click}
I haven't done that  yet, but as I was using it I was thinking....

"You use it like glue.
It smells like glue.
It MUST BE glue....
But it costs five times the price of glue....
I'm looking up that sucker on Pinterest."

Or for the Temple Run addict in your life....

This craft works on so many levels.
I'll take proper step-by-step photos next time.
I've got a whole box full of tiles and a recipe for mod-podge and I'm not afraid to use them.

Love you more than my nail file,

Meredy xo

hi Meredy, be interested to see if your clear spray paint yellows after awhile, as happened to a friends. I would nearly think that when dry the mod podge would seal it anyhow, or some other artist medium along those lines, instead of the aerosol paint...

A whole new world has opened up before me with the making of my own mod-podge (not available here). Please go slow on more coasters till I catch up. It is a contest, right?

You little ripper, Meredy. I've been eagerly awaiting this. Just one question - which type of Mod Podge? There are so many and I've a complete novice with it. J x

These look great. I'm thinking my girls would live to make these, or maybe I can suggest it to day care or preschool!
I have never heard of mod-podge, what is it and where do you buy it? As you can tell I am only a novice crafter!
